Be a pickle fest volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Cleveland Pickle Fest®! This year will be our biggest (and briniest) yet, and we’re thankful for the help of volunteers like you that will help to make it such a success.

Cleveland Pickle Fest® is a celebration of pickles and volunteerism in Cleveland. Volunteers are a BIG DILL. Proceeds from the event support Greater Cleveland Volunteers programs and services to volunteers and nonprofits in Cuyahoga County.

Pickle Fest Volunteer Positions

Set Up
(9am-12pm)
Volunteers will assist with getting the day started and setting up the festival. Unloading trucks, adding fencing around fest area, setting up tents, tables, and chairs. Must be able to lift 25lbs.

Admission Gate
2 shifts (SLOT FULL) (2:45-6:15pm)
Scanning and selling fest tickets to guests entering the event and directing them to the wristband area. Answer questions regarding fest. Must be able to stand for the shift and comfortable working with technology via an app on an iPad or phone.

Wristband Area
2 shifts (SLOT FULL) (2:45-6:15pm)
Check ID’s of guests for 21 years old and over wristbands, applying wristbands and answering questions regarding fest. Volunteers can be seated for this position.

Beer Tents (Volunteers must be 21 years or old)
2 shifts (SLOT FULL) (2:45-6:15pm)
Volunteers will be taking guests orders, receiving payment, pouring, and serving beer. Help is also needed to restock and as runners. Must be 21 years old or older, stand for the shift and comfortable working with technology via an app, iPad, or phone for the payment position.

Pickle Eating Contest
(SLOT FULL)
Volunteers will help with registration, organizing supplies for the contest, setting up tables and chairs, monitoring the contest, cleaning up and breaking down. Must be able to lift 25lbs

Festival Tents
2 shifts (SLOT FULL) (2:45-6:15pm)
Assist with VIP Check In and passing out swag at the VIP Tent, answering questions, offering directions to guests at the Information Tent or assisting with merchandise sales at the Merchandise Tent. Volunteers can be seated for some of these positions.

Floaters
2 shifts (SLOT FULL) (2:45-6:15pm)
Be the volunteer who is ready to step in as needed. Volunteers must be flexible, willing to volunteer for any of the positions above, and any additional need that becomes known.

Break Down
(5:30-8pm)
Volunteers are needed to load trucks, remove fencing around fest area, break down tents, tables, and chairs. Must be able to lift 25lbs.

Cleveland Pickle Fest® is a celebration of pickles and volunteerism in Cleveland. Volunteers are a BIG DILL. Proceeds from the event support Greater Cleveland Volunteers programs and services to volunteers and nonprofits in Cuyahoga County. Cleveland Pickle Fest® attracts thousands of people to Downtown Cleveland. The event includes pickle companies, food trucks, restaurants, pickle items, and pickle beer. Pickle lovers might enjoy many different flavors of pickles, pickles on a stick, pickle candy, and even pickle ice cream.
